Not the bees!

Lauren Maleh

From Girls Aloud at the races, to the phenomenom that was Project Racoon, to antics at London Zoo, to parties at the Crypt, to GEWUK registration mayhem, we’ve had many fun times together. Oh Emma, what shall we do without you? Have the most incredible time in your new job and I know we’ll stay in touch. Love you lots, Lauren xxx

Polly Harrar

There once was a lady called Farrell
Who lived in very small barrel
One day she decided to leave
Which made everyone else grief
For who else would play the power ballads
I know it doesn't rhyme and that the barrel is a metaphor for EUK but we will miss you :)
Congratulations and stay in touch...eeek!

Other Emma B(ookend)

Hey Faz/ She-Ra,

I was hoping I'd be here long enough to have lots of cool stories to recount with you... but you're going! Bwwww!!! But I've enjoyed very much my short time of being the 'other' Emma in the bookedn mataphor!

Please take the Welsh CWTCH, and the concept of "joking" something (as in 'joking' pizza for wheat-free crap) (and actually later, I should tell you about the concept of hool - not spelled like that - as in 'hool apple', sounds funnier in real life with a proper Welsh accent like my Dads) with you to the baby place. But don't get any babies yourself soon...(they're messy and noisy)

Web on Gy'aal.

Make it so... (bwww!)

But also more Yaaaay! (because it's a nice new job!)
(maybe someone there will love Hollyoaks too)

(but probably not)

Good Luck,
Em3

"Are you seriously leaving us?"

All the best,

The Website Queen is going elsewhere
She’s flying the nest to pastures new
Where she’ll give birth (note the pun…) to projects a new
I wish you luck at NCT,
A great organisation I know them to be
But you’ll be missed at EUK
So come back and visit, you can’t keep us at bay…
Best of luck and enjoy NCT land,
Love,
Benita

Alright Jackie. Won’t forget the many a drunken hour spent in the Sun, mostly plotting our next adventure GCW, GEWVC…
Without you I would still think that girls aloud are shit and that only my mum likes powerballads. Acton is a hole so do come back to the Sun for a pint of ale soon….

Jos Smart

Hi Emma, I'm very sad that you are leaving. I like it when you say 'Sup' in the morning. Plus you like stuff that girls don't normally find funny, like mediocre Hollywood actors punching women in the face. This makes me do a LOL. You like Hollyoaks too, but I'm not really fussed with that, so whatever. But what I will say is, remember when Gary Lucy got bummed? I'm not sure why that happened but I think Emma B had a theory. Other than that, good luck with the babies. If they step out of line, HIT THEM WITH AN IPAD. Lot's of love, Jos xxx

EMMA!!!!!

You have been super patient with me and my non-digital ways and a key participant in sun fun, zoo night and scandal book. Good luck and don’t go off the radar (you have no choice; I will come to the eagle’s nest anyway). BTM - I will literally have to go and talk to the wall about marathon running and low GI food. Unless I can pay Zarina to listen to me or something..

Those pregnant ladies are very lucky to have you and I hope they know it.

Emma – farewell to our Angel of the Web, a Digital Diamond. You are an absolute star and will be an excellent addition to any organisation. We’ll miss you lots and lots, and I’ll never listen to a power ballad ever again in your honour!

Best of luck for the future!
Peter

There is EF shaped hole in the East Wing.

There is no-one to squeal at the dogs opposite, laugh at the sausage dog in the camouflage with big man, to give me weird animal pictures from the paper, or to talk about the ‘cat of death’ with.

The Powerballads are going to be taken over by Zarina ‘alternative music’ Raja…

I’m just not sure how I’m going to cope… I may have to speak to Dan about being involved in the recruitment process.

A final pea hen to you Fazza, you’ll be missed.

P.S. Probably best not to mention the marzipan babies at your new place of work, they may think you’re a freak.

Dan McQuillan

Emma,

Farewell from the Balrog.

Maracas.Maracas.Maracas.Maracas.After which, I can only quote from Dr Seuss (spot the changed word):"Oh, the places you'll go! There is fun to be done! There are pointsto be scored. There are games to be won. And the magical things youcan do with that WEBSITE will make you the winning-est winner of all. You'll get mixed up, of course, as you already know. You'll get mixedup with many strange birds as you go. So be sure when you step. Stepwith care and great tact and remember that Life's a Great BalancingAct. Just never forget to be dexterous and deft. And never mix up yourright foot with your left."Dan

Emma, you’re leaving us but you won’t be forgotten… your legacy, the Jeff Stelling drinking game will remain close to our hearts, the badge and Jeff wavey face flag thing will be kept as a memory of the good times!

Zarina Raja

Well, what can I say Faz...I will miss you loads. You've taught me a lot and been very patient. See you in Acton...

“Emma puts the dig into digital. I mean that she makes it hip…you dig? Ok, so that didn’t work. What I really mean is that she creates beautiful web things out of badly written briefs and for that I am extremely grateful and will miss her a lot.”

Matt Black

A Haiku:

You ran the power ballad

Good luck at the new role, I’m going to stay on the West Wing for a month so I don’t have to see the Diji Team crying. I still expect you to be a founding member of the EUK Gig Club and to educate me on the magic of Pulp. Stay in touch! Rich

Gordon Craig

Ah Emma your keen sense of fashion never did rub off on me enough! Been good to know you and work with you. Good luck with the job in the proper charity sector!

Dear Emma,

Thank you for going easy on me when I interviewed for my job here. Marilise grilled me with all the hard questions, you sat in the corner and gave me encouraging smiles  Best of luck in all your future endeavours!

‘Emma is an absolute star – first in and last out whenever I’ve been in the office and her patience with technophobes like me has been endless. I wish her every success in her new role. Changing the world one blog, twitter and power-ballad at a time :-) ’

Emma Farrell is brilliant – Yeboah

Commenting on reports that Emma Farrell, marathon runner and Hollyoakes aficionado is brilliant, Diana Yeboah said:

“It is high time that more people understood how fucking brilliant Emma Farrell is.

“Her love of serial killers, shit white wine and Hollyoakes clearly shows the mark of her exceptional character.

“Her new job helping infidels and sluts shows what a lovely little specimen she is and for a northerner, it beggars belief that frankly she hasn’t resorted to a life of petty crime. Yet.

“I welcome her friendship and will continue to contribute to the sheer battering of her liver.”

Notes to Editors

1. Emma Farrell and Diana Yeboah bonded through a love of mass murderers.

2. Emma Farrell is one of the funniest writers around. Much funnier then Grace Dent. Not as funny as Marina Hyde though.

3. Emma Farrell is awesome.

4. Diana Yeboah is also awesome.

All the best for the future in all you do Emma, Naomi xxx

Good Luck Em!! :-)
I remember when you joined MYM and we were holed up/living it up on the top floor of Mercer St with the legendary, uber-big bean bags and Ed’s random knowledge of randomness. Ah, halcyon days…
Hope you have fun in the new job and best of luck with all the marathon stuff…keep us posted an’ that.
Ta-ra love,
Laurie x

Really sorry to see such a happy person leave us! Will miss hearing all about Gav so keep us up-to-date! Have a great time at the NCT. Missing you already!

Denise Ramsey

Good Luck Emma, I will no longer be asking you silly webby questions and bugging you for Retail or Markets copy help!! Good Luck for the future – you can do and be anything you want. Denise

So, Emma, you’re leaving us: a raft of emotion, adrift in a churning sea of deep grief. There are no long words in my admittedly extensive vocabulary that are equal to your awesomeness. So, I’ll keep it simple: you are fantastic, and shall be missed very, very much. Alex xx

Alex Ritchie

Dear Emma,

Sad to see you go. Have fun playing with the babies! It’ll be like old times when you had to work with Ed at Mercer Street, lots of drooling , funny smells and odd noises…lol!!!
Will keep up-to-date on the Oaks blog 

Stay in touch

Alex

Thanks!

Emma Farrell – what can I say….you have made me feel truly at home with the revelation that is the 5:30 Power Ballad, an event of pure epicness in my daily EUK routine. You may also be the reason I begin watching hollyoaks again (although am not sure I can thank you for taking me back to the worst of my student days!). I haven’t been here long but have defo appreciated your banter, northerness and smiley nature – I wish you good luck on your new journey, just don’t stop believing that if you could turn back time, you wont look back in anger or over your shoulder on this final countdown as we will always leave a light on, for you.

All the best and lets have an epic night so you can leave us, up where we belong!

Sumeet

Emma “Using the phone is so intrusive” Farrell you’ll will be missed!!
Not for your awesome laugh, digi skills or baked beans, but because you’re genuinely funny, affable and interesting and those are all good things!
Have a great time delivering babies and I’ll see you soon yeah?
Love
Luc

VERY SAD
Emma – we are all very sad. There is not much to say except that I will be checking the Hollyoaks blog for some Emma love and that you definitely have to come back and see us for more love. And come back more than Chris. Amisha xxxxxx
Also, good luck and have some excellent marathons. xx

Hi Em -Can’t believe you’re leaving, it’ll feel very weird without you-how will I get over the tenner hairball? Hope you enjoy working with all things baby and remember two pieces of Martha wisdom 1. Leave the pub when you’re still having a good time 2. Wearing one’s hair up twisty is really very easy and I will teach you how-but not before you leave so you have a reason to come back and visit! Take care, love martha x
